Protection

Woolpower Protection is a range of products specifically designed for professional use, where particular demands for safety and functionality are required. Wool is inherently flame-resistant and does not melt, which helps prevent severe burns. All items in the Protection collection are certified for flame resistance, anti-static properties, and protection against electrical arc flash, designed not to worsen injuries in case of accidents.

Always wear appropriate clothing to prevent injuries while working. Please note that the Protection range cannot be purchased online; find your nearest professional distributor here.

Woolpower Protection LITE

Woolpower Protection LITE fabric is circular knitted in 1:1 rib. That means that heat is conducted more easily from the skin and out through the garment. This in turn makes the Protection LITE products perfect as a cooler alternative, for high-level activity and/or warmer temperatures.

The 19.5-micron Merino wool combined with 38% Viscose FR with no more seams than absolutely necessary makes a very soft, smooth and stretchy garment.

  • Heat insulation
  • Moisture transportation
  • ATPV value = 6,4 cal/cm2
  • Year around use
  • 60% merino wool
  • Great comfort

Protection LITE meets specific EN standards, such as Flame Resistance, Antistatic and Electric Arc. It also complies with ASTM standards in the US. For maximum protection we recommend using our entire line of certified garments together with appropriately certified outer garments.

Ullfrotté Original

Woolpower manufactures warm base layers and mid-layer garments from our own fabric Ullfrotté Original. We manufacture all our products in Sweden. At our factory in Östersund we do everything from knitting and preparing the fabric to sewing, packing and storing products. We have specialised in manufacturing functional products that withstand extreme weather conditions, sudden changes in weather and different levels of activity. Our clothes should be the first choice for people who spend a lot of time outdoors and want confidence in their equipment. The clothes are popular with mountain hikers and wind-turbine technicians alike.

Wool is nature’s very own functional fabric, and so far, nobody has been able to reproduce a synthetic fibre with the unique properties of wool. Nature had actually solved the problem of freezing and sweating long before any of us started researching it.

We developed our Ullfrotté Original fabric in the early 1970’s in Östersund, Jämtland, Sweden. It’s hardwearing and is made up of fine merino wool, polyamide/polyester, and most of all – air!
