Rock Your Socks with Björn on March 21 to celebrate the joy of diversity!
March 21 is an international day initiated by the UN, to spread knowledge and attention about Down Syndrome. The Swedish Down Association has, to follow the campaign #LotsofSocks, initiated the campaing “Rock your Socks” on this day to celebrate the equal value and rights of all people.
Since 2020, we have proudly supported their important work in creating the right conditions so that people with Down Syndrome can live and contribute to society’s development, just like anybody else.
For the third year in a row, we have a sock specially made for this day. And for the second year in a row, we are proud to present our own designer of our Rocking socks and employee Björn Högberg, who has worked with us at Woolpower since 2009.
We knit our Rocking socks from left over yarn from our production. In this way, we make use of yarn that might not have been used otherwise at the same time as we spread knowledge and attention about Down Syndrome.
The 2022 edition of Rocking socks is for sale in our web shop and our factory shop in Östersund between March 4-31.
This year we will donate 15% of our sales of the sock to the Swedish Down Association.
