The balaclava protects body parts that are normally exposed in a protective clothing system. The garment is conforming to specific EN standards, such as Flame Resistance, Antistatic or Electric Arc.
Woolpower Protection LITE is certified according to special EN standards such as flame protection, antistatic and arc protection. Wool is flame retardant in itself and does not melt, which prevents severe burns. For maximum protection, we recommend that you use a complete undergarment together with other certified outerwear.
Ullfrotté Original 400 can be used in colder conditions or when you don’t intend to move around much. Then it’s best to wear one of our thinner base layers underneath, such as Woolpower LITE or Ullfrotté 200, that are designed to be worn closest to the body. By wearing Woolpower directly against your skin you gain the most benefit from all the good properties that wool has.
